The Global Education & Skills Forum
The Atlantis Hotel, Dubai, UAE
15 – 16 March
The Global Education & Skills Forum is an effort to bring together leaders from the Public, Private and Social sectors to address education’s greatest challenges. Key to this are the institutions spearheading real change.
With a focus on explaining HOW to actually solve the world's education crisis, we are expecting many of the education ministers and former heads of state who attended last year, such as Tony Blair, Bill Clinton and George Papandreou of Greece, and business leaders, including Majid Jafar, CEO of Crescent Petroleum ,and Jim Hagemann-Snabe, CEO of SAP.
With a US$1 Million award being given for the first time ever, the highlight of 2015's GESF will be the announcement of the winner of the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize - the equivalent of a 'Nobel Prize‘ – that will be given to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession. Before meeting the Top 10 Finalists in person at the Forum, learn more about the finalists here: (http://www.globalteacherprize.org/finalists).
You are cordially invited to:
• Interview the prize finalists who will travel to Dubai
• Report/film the winner presented the prize at the Academy Award-style ceremony
• Access b-roll footage of the teachers in action in their classrooms
